Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is proud to announce a multi-year partnership with the Phoenix Suns to raise awareness of Goodwill’s vital efforts to drive social impact and sustainability across Arizona. As part of the partnership, Goodwill CEO, Tim O’Neal, will be honored for his innovation and contributions to help end poverty through the power of work during a pre-game on-court activation at the March 29 game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“We are excited to partner with the Phoenix Suns to bring broader awareness to the community about the critical services Goodwill provides to Arizonans every day,” said Tim O’Neal, CEO of Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona. “Goodwill is so much more than a store. We offer education services through our Excel Center, the state’s first adult charter high school for individuals without a high school diploma, and free career services to job seekers through our MyCareerAdvisor.com and career centers. And when you shop or donate to Goodwill, you are keeping items out of landfills. From lifting people out of poverty to protecting our planet, Goodwill and the Phoenix Suns are partnering to build a community where all can thrive.”
The partnership features promotional activity in arena, on-court, on TV, in app and across social media. Game day activities will include gift cards and prize giveaways a few times a year.
Another exciting aspect of the partnership includes autographed Suns jerseys, shoes, and basketballs that will be secretly planted in Goodwill stores to give Suns fans an extra reason to shop Goodwill.
“Our partnership with Goodwill aligns with our mission to be more environmentally conscious and to positively impact communities throughout the Valley and beyond,” said Dan Costello, executive vice president and chief revenue officer, Phoenix Suns. “We’re excited to support Goodwill’s efforts to protect our planet by keeping millions of pounds out of Arizona landfills each year and the great work they’re doing to help end poverty in our community.”
