The hosting education series covers two key areas:<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>\n<section>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>Compliance education around the blitz of new local short-term rental ordinances passed in the wake of Arizona&#8217;s Senate Bill 1168 passed last year, which gave some regulatory powers back to cities and towns<\/li>\n<li>Responsible renting and good neighbor practices to help short-term rental hosts ensure they are proactively educating guests and preventing nuisances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;During a major event like the Super Bowl, short-term rentals become essential to accommodate many of the tens of thousands of visitors coming to Arizona,&#8221; said Linda Curry, President of AZRT. &#8220;AZRT is taking proactive steps, including education and awareness, to ensure compliance with state laws and local regulations, as well as outlining best practices for nuisance prevention in our communities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>AZRT has teamed up with <a href=\"http:\/\/Vrbo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vrbo<\/a>, a leading travel platform and sponsor of 2022&#8217;s Fiesta Bowl in Glendale; <a href=\"http:\/\/GovOS\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GovOS<\/a>, a short-term rental compliance software; and <a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3750715-1&amp;h=2550720834&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Frentresponsibly.org%2F&amp;a=Rent+Responsibly\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rent Responsibly<\/a>, a community building and education platform for short-term rental operators.<\/p>\n<p>Together, the group has published a <a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3750715-1&amp;h=1450459684&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fazrtr.org%2Fsuperbowl2023%2F&amp;a=hosting+resource+center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">hosting resource center<\/a> with free guides, checklists, and other tools on good neighbor and nuisance prevention practices.<\/p>\n<p>They have also developed a <a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3750715-1&amp;h=730911328&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fazrtr.org%2Fcompliance%2F&amp;a=regulatory+resource+center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">regulatory resource center<\/a> with compliance and permit guides to many of the new local ordinances and AZ&#8217;s transaction privilege tax, along with self-check assessments and other support tools.<\/p>\n<p>AZRT and its partners will additionally be hosting <a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3750715-1&amp;h=1110737380&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fazrtr.org%2Fevents%2F&amp;a=a+series+of+free+\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">a series of free <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/c212.net\/c\/link\/?t=0&amp;l=en&amp;o=3750715-1&amp;h=3463791153&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fazrtr.org%2Fevents%2F&amp;a=events\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">events<\/a>, including virtual webinars and in-person meetups in select cities.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Arizona has become an epicenter for innovation and leadership in the vacation rental industry,&#8221; said Philip Minardi, Global Director of Public Affairs for Vrbo. &#8220;Continued collaboration between vacation rental stakeholders, government officials, and community members is critical during this dynamic regulatory and big event season.
