Doc is not just creating and playing great music, he\u2019s having an amazing, positive impact on people \u2013 jazz listeners, young people, musicians, legislators, business leaders and more.<\/p>\n<p>Jones keeps pushing through and making a difference \u2013 like jazz concerts all during April for the International Jazz month that he started. For years, he has convinced the regional legislature to declare April as International Jazz Month. He is seemingly tireless and UNSTOPPABLE!<\/p>\n<p>Jones is a great example here because jazz itself is a metaphor for global business. Have skills, practice hard, hang out with talented folks \u2013 the global tribe \u2013 go with the flow and make great music and global business! It works for jazz and it works for success with trade and investment.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_173610\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-173610\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-173610 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/inbusinessphx.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/Doc-Jones-and-Herbie-Hancock-1024x597.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"610\" height=\"356\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-173610\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Doc Jones and jazz legend Herbie Hancock<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Is Jazz easy? Is global business easy? The answer is yes and yes \u2013 when you start with the skills and then collaborate effectively with others. It takes a village, dear friends. Perhaps \u201ceasy\u201d isn\u2019t the best word to use here. Perhaps it\u2019s \u201cdoable\u201d or \u201cpossible\u201d? Is it easy to run the Mayo Clinic, one of the best hospitals and medical systems in the world? It\u2019s doable; they\u2019re doing it, with a vision and skilled people and processes. And they\u2019re world-class. Perhaps that\u2019s a fitting analogy.<\/p>\n<p>This all is an important point because probably too many people explain how hard things are to do globally. We disagree with that. It\u2019s doable. Business is doable. Global business has some additional complexities, including cross-cultural issues, country-specific regulations, etc., but it\u2019s all manageable with the right mindset, people and approach. So, in that sense, it\u2019s \u201ceasy\u201d and certainly, indisputably, important, valuable and fun (in reference to the title of this post).<\/p>\n<p>So, don\u2019t be intimidated. You can do it!
