Spencer Fane LLP<\/a> is pleased to announce David E. Funkhouser III has been named the new office managing partner for the firm\u2019s Phoenix office, effective March 1. He succeeds partner Andrew Federhar, who has served in the role since the office\u2019s 2017 opening.<\/p>\n

A partner at the firm since 2018, Funkhouser counsels clients in complex commercial litigation matters. He is a deeply trusted advisor to many of the nation\u2019s largest consumer loan servicers, mortgage origination companies, and financial institutions, using a client-centric, results-oriented approach to each and every matter his clients entrust him with. David also routinely handles real estate disputes and contract litigation, as well as fiduciary, trust, and probate litigation. He has also defended clients in multiple class-action lawsuits across the country.<\/p>\n

As Funkhouser assumes responsibility for day-to-day operations of the Phoenix office, he will also help facilitate the firm\u2019s continued expansion in the Arizona legal market. Since opening, Spencer Fane Phoenix has maintained a steady evolution fueled by the firm\u2019s commitment to exceptional, client-centric service and thought leadership.<\/p>\n

In addition to his legal work, Funkhouser is highly involved in the community. He has established himself as a civic leader, serving out the remainder of a term for a vacated seat in Arizona\u2019s House of Representatives in 2008. He\u2019s also a former president of the Maricopa County Bar Association, and currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Arizona. Funkhouser is a graduate of Valley Leadership Class XXXII and is a previous Phoenix Business Journal<\/em> 40 Under 40 honoree.<\/p>\n
