The data also looks at workers\u2019 vacation plans this summer to help alleviate burnout.<\/p>\n<p>New Robert Half research of more than 2,500 U.S. workers shows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>38% are more burned out now than a year ago: <\/strong>Those with the highest burnout levels are\u00a0millennials (27- to-42-year-olds),\u00a0Working parents, and employees who have been with their company for 2-4 years.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Top factors contributing to burnout<\/strong>:\u00a0Heavy workloads (56%), lack of communication and support from management (32%)\u00a0and insufficient tools and resources to perform effectively (27%).<\/li>\n<li><strong>37% or workers are uncomfortable expressing feelings of burnout<\/strong> <strong>with their manager: In addition,\u00a0<\/strong>1 in 5 workers say their manager has taken no action to alleviate work-related stress.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Those who are receiving support: <\/strong>Employers have encouraged them to take time off (26%), provided greater schedule flexibility (24%)\u00a0and been given guidance on prioritizing projects (22%).<\/li>\n<li><strong>28% feel they can\u2019t take time off<\/strong> <strong>this summer<\/strong>, either because they have too much work or worry it will impact their job security.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Workplace burnout is a problem that just won\u2019t go away, according to new research from talent solutions and business consulting firm, Robert Half.
