During its latest giving round, the Sundt Foundation awarded $100,000 in grants to 17 Phoenix-area organizations.

“Being in this position to be able to give back to our communities is a special experience,” said Scott LaPoint, the Sundt Foundation’s Phoenix region board member. “Actively making a difference each quarter is something that our employee-owners are extremely proud of and look forward to.”

The non-profits that received grants include the Assistance League of East Valley, the Arizona YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix, Power Paws Assistance Dogs, Inc., Ryan House, Winged Hope Family Advocacy Foundation, Neighbors Who Care, AZCEND, Assistance League of Phoenix, Bridging AZ Furniture Bank, New Pathways for Youth, Women 4 Women, Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank, Foundation for Blind Children, New Life Center, VerdeCares, Arizona DAV East Valley Veterans Foundation and Veterans Helping Veterans.

The Sundt Foundation awards quarterly grants to Valley charities that support disadvantaged children, individuals and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application and review process led by a committee of local Sundt employee-owners.

Sundt’s purpose is to build environments where its clients, employee-owners and communities prosper. The Sundt Foundation was established in 1999 as a way for employee-owners to give back to the communities in which they live and work. The organization is funded primarily by contributions from Sundt employees, which are matched by the company. T
