Football player running through finish line

The diverse group of Valley Metro Artsline Spotlight Artists is growing with the newest artist, JUST, for the winter season. Artsline celebrates creativity, culture and community throughout the rail corridor.

JUST is an emerging artist, dedicating himself to becoming a full-time artist only two years ago. Influenced by his past football career, utilizing skills of discipline and determination, he became a self-taught artist. JUST has a few murals in the Phoenix area through the Black History Month Mural Project.

In his new mural at the Roosevelt/Central Ave station, JUST combines his passion for art and sports. The vibrant artwork highlights action, challenge and success in an autobiographical way. “Football gave me the foundation to do so much more in life. I’m glad that I’m able to share that story, my story through my new passion,” artist JUST said about his piece.

The mural is up now for people passing through the area to get excited about upcoming Super Bowl activities. The Roosevelt/Central Ave station is one entry point to all events at Hance Park during Super Bowl week.
