The Fiesta Bowl Organization promoted Kristina Chumpol to the newly-created position of Chief of Staff and Vice President of Community Investment. The four-year Fiesta Bowl staff member will lead the planning and execution of the organization’s year-round community engagement, provide executive level support to the Executive Director/CEO on strategic planning initiatives and advance the vision and business goals of the Fiesta Bowl Organization.

In her new role, Chumpol will serve as a member of the senior leadership team, work closely with all organizational department leaders, oversee large, cross-functional organization-wide projects and act as an advisor on all aspects of the Fiesta Bowl Organization’s activities.

“Kristina is widely respected within the Fiesta Bowl family and has deep relationships in Arizona’s communities. She is a bridge-builder and a connector, who leads with a people-focused intentionality. Her positive attitude, commitment to excellence and passion for serving our community will be instrumental in the writing of the Fiesta Bowl’s next chapter,” said Erik Moses, Fiesta Bowl Executive Director and CEO.  “In her new role as Chief of Staff and Vice President of Community Investment, her expertise will be beneficial in the creation of Fiesta Bowl Charities’ community engagement strategy and with organizational alignment to achieve our collective strategic priorities.”

Chumpol first became a valuable member of the Fiesta Bowl family in 2019 and most recently served as Senior Director of Community Relations to help lead the nonprofit’s robust charitable giving and community outreach. Under her leadership, Fiesta Bowl Charities increased its footprint of direct impact and legacy projects – such as playground builds, resource rooms and teacher lounge renovations – across Arizona in the areas of youth, sports and education. She also oversees the grant process that distributes millions of dollars donated annually to community organizations and manages the expansion of a signature teacher support program in Wishes for Teachers which aids our state’s educators – who are unsung heroes to today’s youth.

“I am honored to step into this role and continue to contribute in how the Fiesta Bowl makes a difference in the lives of Arizonans,” Chumpol said. “The Fiesta Bowl has built a rich legacy of which we are extremely proud, and we are even more excited about what’s ahead to expand the impact of our great organization, both here in Arizona and on the college football landscape nationally.”

A member of the current ASU Leadership Institute class that promotes leadership development and innovation, Chumpol began her professional career in 2009 working at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale and was regularly promoted within the youth development space before moving into leaderships roles such as Strategic Liaison to the CEO & Board and Director of Programs & Partnerships.
