The leasing and brokerage team at the Esplanade office building have announced that Perkins Coie has signed a new 30,000-square-foot lease agreement. A leading international law firm, Perkins Coie will relocate its Phoenix office to Building II at the Esplanade located at 2525 E. Camelback Rd. in the Biltmore area.

Perkins Coie was represented by Scott Goldman and Larry Downey of Cushman & Wakefield, and the landlord was represent by Bryan Taute of CBRE.

“We’re truly excited to have signed the lease for our new Phoenix office that will better meet our clients’ needs and the working lifestyles of our lawyers and business professionals,” said Todd Kerr, office managing partner of Perkins Coie in Phoenix. “This new, state-of-the-art collaborative office in the Camelback corridor will feature a host of cutting-edge amenities and include more client-centric space and event capabilities.”

A $45 million upgrade and renovation project was announced last year for the Esplanade campus which includes four buildings and adding a new central amenity space. The planned changes aim to create a new standard for the future of work by incorporating unparalleled service, advanced technology, and intelligent spaces to give businesses and workers the tools they need to thrive.  A new 16,000 square-foot, two-story central amenity building will be the heart of the property and will include a full-service café and bar, and collaborative workspaces. The second floor will be dedicated to health and fitness, offering a state-of-the-art gym and studio spaces for group classes and social wellness programs. Adjacent to the Café and Lounge will be a new 8,000-square-foot conference center that will provide groups a venue that will accommodate up to 100 person events, including a variety of meeting rooms and coworking spaces outfitted with superior AV/IT equipment tailored to producing podcasts, live stream studios, and more.

The redevelopment is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2024.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Perkins Coie team to the Esplanade,” said Bryan Taute, executive vice president at CBRE on behalf of the Esplanade leasing team. “The leasing momentum at the Esplanade continues to accelerate as tenants seek environments that are built to enhance employees work life through amentization.”

The Esplanade is the premiere hub of professional services, real estate, and legal tenants in the Camelback Corridor including CBRE, Merrill Lynch, Cushman & Wakefield, UBS Financial, Gallagher & Kennedy, and others. The redevelopment is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2024.
