Perkins Coie, a leading international law firm headquartered in Seattle, has signed a long-term lease for a new office location in Phoenix, Arizona.
The law firm will occupy 30,955 square feet at Camelback Esplanade, a Class-A project located at 2525 East Camelback Road in central Phoenix that will be undergoing a significant upgrade and renovation that began this year.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Scott Goldman, Dan Fisk, and Larry Downey in Phoenix represented the tenant in the transaction. Perkins Coie is relocating its Phoenix office to the Camelback Corridor in the midtown CBD submarket.
“As a leading law firm in Phoenix and beyond it was important to position ourselves in a premier business neighborhood and Class A workplace,” said Todd Kerr, Perkins Coie’s Phoenix office managing partner. “While our lawyers and business professionals were highly productive in a remote environment during the pandemic, in-person training, connecting with colleagues, and the ability to meet face-to-face with our clients are all critically important.”
Perkins Coie is currently in the process of designing its new space and plans to begin tenant improvements in late summer or early fall, with an occupancy goal by next spring. Approximately 60 lawyers work out of the firm’s Phoenix office. “A major focus of our new office and design will center on collaboration, teamwork, and bringing our people and clients together,” added Kerr.
Founded in 1912, Perkins Coie is recognized as an Am Law 50 firm and has more than 1,200 lawyers in offices across the U.S. and Asia.
