Chick-fil-A is strengthening its investment in the Phoenix community with five new locally owned and operated Chick-fil-A® restaurants and one licensed Chick-fil-A location, all slated to open by the end of 2023.
These new restaurants and the licensed location will join 37 other Chick-fil-A locations currently serving the greater Phoenix marke.
Chick-fil-A introduced their quality food and remarkable service to the Phoenix community in 2003 and plans to open 15 additional new restaurants in the Valley over the next five years. As one of the nation’s fastest growing markets and a prominent business hub, the restaurant company looks forward to expanding its footprint in the greater Phoenix area.
“We are gearing up to celebrate Chick-fil-A’s 20th anniversary in Phoenix, and as we prepare to hit this milestone, we are energized by the continued demand for our great-tasting food and signature hospitality,” said Todd Grubbs, Area Director for the West Region. “This community means so much to us and our local Operators, and we look forward to continuing to give back in meaningful ways as well as serving even more guests at these new locations.”
With different restaurant models tailored to each location, Chick-fil-A is equipped to best serve the various needs of its guests:
Free Standing Restaurants: Norterra, downtown Phoenix and Goodyear are free standing models that will feature dine-in, carry-out and a dual-lane drive-thru.
Drive-Thru Only Restaurants: Surprise and Gilbert will be drive-thru only models without dine-in services, however, guests will be able to enjoy their meal at one of the outdoor patio seats. Chick-fil-A’s signature dual-lane drive-thru is focused on expediting and elevating the restaurant experience for guests with innovation, speed and hospitality.
Airport Location: Operated by Emerging Domestic Market Ventures, LLC, the licensed airport location will be located in a new Food Hall inside the new concourse in Terminal Four at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The licensed location will feature counter service with a queue line so guests can enjoy efficient service in an inviting setting.
Chick-fil-A restaurants are passionate about showing care to the communities they serve through several initiatives, including:
Redirecting Surplus Food: Through Chick-fil-A Shared Table™, an initiative that redirects surplus food from its restaurants to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need, Phoenix area Owner/Operators have donated over 400,000 meals since 2015, with the number continuing to grow.
Nonprofit Grants: Chick-fil-A, Inc. has awarded $315,000 in grants to five nonprofits in the Phoenix area, including Junior Achievement of Arizona, Heart for the City, SEED Spot, ElevateMeD Inc. and Creighton Community Foundation, as a part of the Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® grant program.
Feeding America Donations: In celebration of the five new locally owned and operated restaurant openings, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 on behalf of each restaurant to Feeding America, which will be directed to local Phoenix food banks to aid in the fight against hunger. Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has donated $50,000 to Feeding America in the greater Phoenix community.
